Why Estherbot Exists
Estherbot is a small independent blog for people who use software to get through the working day and to move their careers forward. It is written for job seekers polishing a resume, professionals curious about conversational assistants, and anyone who suspects there is a better tool for the chore in front of them.
The three subjects we keep returning to
The site is organised around chatbots, resumes and careers, and digital tools. The three feed each other. A chatbot can help draft a cover letter, but only if you know what a hiring manager looks for, and a tidy resume still depends on the tools you use to format, store and send it.
- Chatbots looks at what conversational assistants do well, where they invent things, and how to phrase a request so the answer is usable.
- Resumes and Careers covers layout, wording, job search habits, interviews and the slow work of planning a next step.
- Digital Tools reviews everyday apps and services for writing, organising, scheduling and keeping files in order.
Our approach
Articles aim to be practical, so a reader can try a suggestion the same afternoon. Claims about how a product behaves are checked against the provider’s own documentation, help pages and hands-on testing. Career advice is compared with published guidance from recruiting and labour resources. When results depend on the employer, the industry or the tool version, the article says so plainly.
Software changes fast. Features are renamed, free plans shrink and interfaces move, so older pages are revisited and revised when they stop being accurate.
Who reads Estherbot
Some readers are starting out and have never written a resume. Others have years of experience and want a second view on one specific problem, such as a gap in their history or a clumsy chatbot prompt. Nothing here assumes a large budget or a technical background.
