Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 28, 2026

This policy describes what information is handled when you read estherbot.com, how the operator uses it and what choices you have. The operator is whoever runs this blog, and when this page says we or us it means that operator.

Visit logs

When you open an Estherbot page about chatbots, resumes or digital tools, the server that delivers it records a routine log entry. That entry can contain your IP address, the time of the request, the page asked for, your browser and device type, and the page that sent you here. We use these logs to keep the blog available, find broken pages, block abusive traffic and see in broad terms which topics people read.

Cookies and similar technology

Estherbot may use cookies or similar storage. Some help pages load correctly. Others, where switched on, count visits, remember a display choice, serve advertising or note which Estherbot link led you to a software provider or job resource so that affiliate credit can be assigned. A cookie set by an analytics or ad service is under that service’s control, so its own notice is where to look for details about it.

Controls in your browser

You can delete or block cookies in your browser, browse privately, or add extensions that limit tracking. Where your browser sends a global privacy or do-not-track signal, the operator honours it for the analytics and advertising settings it can configure, though a signal cannot reach tools that an outside provider runs on its own terms. Blocking certain cookies may change how some pages behave, for instance embedded content may not load.

What you tell us by email

If you write to [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you include. Readers sometimes mention their job situation or paste text from a resume or a chatbot conversation. Please share only what you are comfortable with, and remove names, contact numbers and other identifying details from anything you attach. We use your message to answer you, to fix mistakes on the site and to keep a record of the exchange. We do not sell messages and we will not publish one without your permission.

Newsletters and forms

If Estherbot offers a newsletter or a form, the details you enter are used for the purpose you chose, such as sending an update on new articles. Each mailing explains how to unsubscribe, and you may also ask us by email to remove your address.

Outside services

Publishing a blog relies on other providers. These can include hosting and content delivery, traffic measurement, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded items like videos or social posts. They may receive technical details of your visit so their service functions, and they handle that data under their own notices. We do not control what they do with it.

Chatbots and tools mentioned on the site

Articles discuss third-party chatbots and apps, but Estherbot does not run them. If you try one after reading about it, the information you type into it goes to that provider, not to us. Check what a tool does with your resume or personal details before you upload them.

Retention

Visit logs are held only for as long as needed to troubleshoot the blog and spot abuse, after which they are deleted or kept only as anonymous traffic counts per article. Emails are kept while they remain useful for replying, correcting an article or meeting a legal duty, and are deleted once that need has passed.

Your rights

Depending on your location, the law may let you ask to see the personal information held about you, request a correction or deletion, object to particular uses, or take back a consent you gave, for example for a newsletter. To make a request, email [email protected] and say what you would like us to do. Because a request can expose someone’s data, we may first ask for a detail that shows the message really comes from you, and we answer within the period your local law requires.

Children

Estherbot is written for adults looking at careers and software and is not aimed at children under 13. Nothing on the blog is designed to gather details from young readers, and we have no wish to hold them. A parent or guardian who finds that a child has emailed us can write to the address above and the message will be erased.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, such as using encrypted connections and restricting access to the inbox. No online storage or transfer is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

International transfers

The providers behind the blog may process data in other countries, where the rules can differ from those near you. By using Estherbot you accept that information about your visit may be handled in this way.

Changes to this policy

If Estherbot adds a new kind of tool, such as a different analytics service or a mailing list, or if the rules on privacy shift, this page will be rewritten to match. The effective date above shows when the current version began, and continuing to read Estherbot after an update means the new version applies to you.
