Terms of Use

What using Estherbot means

Reading Estherbot, following its links or sending it a message means you are relying on these terms for how the blog may be used. They are short on purpose. Questions can go to [email protected].

General information, not professional advice

Articles about chatbots, resumes and careers, and digital tools are general information and personal opinion. They are not career counselling, legal or employment advice, and they do not promise an interview, a job offer or a pay rise. Hiring practices differ by employer, industry and country. Chatbots can produce confident but wrong or invented answers, so check names, dates, facts and any claim about your own history before you put them in a resume or send them to an employer. Do not paste confidential or sensitive material into a tool because an article mentioned it.

Ownership of content

The text, layout and original graphics on Estherbot belong to the operator or are used with permission. You may read the pages, quote a brief passage with a clear mention of the source, and share links. Copying full articles, republishing them or using them for commercial purposes requires written permission.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break into the blog, flood it with automated requests, scrape it at a harmful scale, plant malicious code or use it to send spam. Using Estherbot to deceive employers, impersonate another person or pass off its text as your own work is also off limits. Access may be limited where needed to protect the blog and its readers.

Messages and submissions

When you send a correction, question or topic idea, you confirm you have the right to share it. You allow us to read it and to use the idea to improve the blog, without any duty to reply or publish it.

Advertising, affiliate links and outside sites

Estherbot may show advertising and may include affiliate links, which can earn the operator a small commission at no extra cost to you. These links do not alter what an article says. Pages here may point to chatbot services, resume builders, job boards, productivity apps and the documentation of their makers. Those sites sit outside Estherbot’s control, and their prices, features, data handling and content can change without notice, so judge them for yourself before signing up or uploading a resume.

Warranties and liability

Estherbot is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, the operator makes no promise that the content will be accurate, complete or uninterrupted, and is not liable for loss that comes from using the blog or relying on its articles, including decisions about applications or software. Statutory consumer rights that no website can switch off stay intact, as does any liability the law will not let the operator exclude.

Changes and severability

We may update these terms or the blog at any time, and the new version applies once posted. If a part of the terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
